The role you'll contribute:

The Manager of Visual Design leads the day-to-day creative development of compelling traditional, digital and interactive collaterals and campaigns. The positions direct the design for their assigned studio, and develops and manages creative strategies to help improve and maintain AdventHealth's image and grow business strategies enterprise-wide. The Manager of Visual Design should possess exceptional creative skills and the ability to purposefully align creative practices with organizational goals. A mid-level position that requires proven experience in creative departments, it also requires a strong design sense and ability to execute in a fast-paced, ever-changing and evolving environment. The position reports to the Director of Creative Services.

• Manage creative oversight for the development of assigned projects, reinforcing the organization's overall strategic positioning and ensuring consistency of brand standards.

• Lead design team efforts to establish creative direction that aligns the brand with established business goals, objectives and strategies. Guides brainstorming, conceptualization, and functional design execution.

• Develop and provide leadership for a high-performing design team to drive the execution of creative strategies. Provides coaching, leadership and assistance with resources and strategy development.

• Work collaboratively with Brand Operations and Project Management & Production teams to ensure seamless integration of departmental resources and proper execution of departmental workflow process.

• Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; recommending changes to copy and design, as appropriate.

• Serve as creative review for branding development, issues and applications.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Design Sense - Strong aesthetic awareness and intuitive understanding of design principles.


Presentation Proficiency - Able to provide polished presentations demonstrating alignment of creative approach and strategic requirements.

-Leadership Skills - Exceptionally skilled in leadership and organization. Should know how to direct teams so they work together for a common goal.

Understanding of Consumer Experience - Intimately familiar with the consumer experience and understand what drives a consumer action.

Knowledge of Marketing/Design Trends - Must be adept at determining if marketing campaigns will be successful, so they should have in-depth knowledge of current trends.

Time & Project Management - Able to manage their time efficiently with experience and capacity to handle multiple projects at once.

Creativity and Authenticity - Be creative and authentic in their beliefs and work. Responsible for the company image - consumers should be able to see that authenticity.

Relationship Minded - Values interpersonal relationships, and utilizes them to galvanize people and processes in a way that advances Marketing strategies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Branding, Marketing, or related experience.

• Minimum five (5) years in Graphic Design, Branding and/or Marketing, with demonstrated engagement and success.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

• Master's degree in Design, Fine Arts

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Direct oversight of seven (7) creative services employees, including Senior Visual Designers and Visual Designers.
