Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician is a key member of the Manufacturing Engineering / OpEx Team that supports products and processes within the Plant with an emphasis on pump production.

Responsibilities
  • The MET is a key member of the Manufacturing Engineering / OpEx Team that supports products and processes within the Plant with an emphasis on pump production.
  • Works with manufacturing engineering and production staff to define work instructions and work sequences in the development of new products and processes. Supports daily shop floor operations, troubleshoots, and resolves production and quality issues, and implements process improvements.
  • Performs analysis, data collection, and documents operator standard work. Analyzes, recommends, and implements layout and process flow improvements.
  • Works with manufacturing engineering and production staff to implement lean and 5S initiatives throughout the plant.
  • Develops workstation and production layouts, balancing of work content, determination of labor requirements, material handling and storage solutions, process documentation, and provide operator training.
  • Provides support with routings and BOM's in SAP.
  • Helps to identify safety opportunities and implements changes.


Basic Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Engineering or related field preferred
  • Experience in process flow improvement and developing manufacturing processes
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience within a manufacturing setting.
  • Effective written & verbal communication skills

Onsite - Enon, OH

Key Competencies
  • Experience with the principles of 5S, Lean, Kaizen, or similar
  • Experience in work station layouts and process documentation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate across all levels within and outside of the organization and in cross-function collaborations
  • Ability to present facts and recommendations, to present opinions and defend them
