The Manufacturing Engineer Power & Controls, owns and drives the assembly process in the Power & Controls MES. The Manufacturing Engineer maintains operations sheets, develops tooling, implements projects to improve delivery of the high-quality products our customer requires, while solving complex manufacturing problems. The Manufacturing Engineer is creative, energetic, and adaptable with a positive can-do attitude who works with hourly employees and management to support a high-paced production environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Drive manufacturing process improvements across multiple process steps spanning the full value stream of the parts.
  • Identify & implement process optimization and control methods to eliminate/prevent quality turn backs /escapes and reduce overall product costs.
  • Use statistical analysis tools to perform Root cause analysis and corrective actions on non-conforming product.
  • Drive targeted manufacturing process optimization activities through MRL tools such as Value Stream Mapping and Process Flow Diagram, PFMEA, Control Plans etc.
  • Document problem statements, observations, conclusions, calculations, and recommendations.
  • Lead significant projects critical to improve manufacturing process capability & quality performance


Basic Qualifications:
  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelors degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident Green Card holder


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations or similar technical degree
  • 5 or more years of experience in operations, manufacturing engineering or similar experience
  • Aerospace industry experience
  • Experience leveraging project management skills to drive results
