1. Occupational Summary

Objective:
Safran's Manufacturing Engineering Planner is a diverse position covering the planning of workflow from the engineering department and through production departments. This position receives drawing packages from the engineering personnel, prepares the workflow of the product and enters it into the applicable software system. This position will be the focal point in creating manufacturing workflow of released components. This position works with engineering, and production departments. It is a focal point to ensure workflow of the product is effectively communicated to help meet program requirements. This section should indicate the level of discretion and latitude of the role such as "works independently"; "works under close supervision"; "works under general supervision" etc.

1. Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

Main Function Responsibilities

A) Works closely with assembly line, fabrication, tooling, engineering, quality assurance, proto shop, tool try, and other departments in manufacturing to develop the most efficient workflow of the product.
B) Coordinate with Industrial, Manufacturing Engineers and production to develop the most efficient manufacturing sequence of the product.
C) Creates detailed work instructions in the production areas with assistance from assembly line, engineering, tooling, proto, and fabrication.
D) Assist the manufacturing department to actively manage the production schedule, by managing internal department schedule and attending operational start of production meetings, if required.
E) Monitor quality of the work flow provided and take corrective actions as needed.
F) Assists in the reviews of existing processes to evaluate changes to improve quality, cost, and delivery.
G) Ensure that work instruction is updated with the current BOM, dimensions, weight and other necessary information.
H) Creation of Row Markers for the final assembly of the seat.
I) Performs Manufacturing Planning duties as required.
J) Performs other duties as assigned.

3. Qualification Requirements

A. Education & Qualification
• High school diploma or equivalent.

B. Work Experience - Technical knowledge:
• 2 or more years of experience in production.

C. Professional Skills
• Thorough knowledge of blueprints, production/Assembly processes, and assembly parts.
• Working knowledge of sub-assemblies and fabrication areas
• Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.
• Ability to read and review written communication.
• Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.

D. Behavioral Skills

• A versatile, self-starter with a positive attitude, who is cautiously assertive

General Work Conditions

Physical Demands: This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors and other office equipment. Finger dexterity needed in using misc. office equipment such as telephone, computer and copy machine, etc. Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job
