Your Role:

At MilliporeSigma, the Machine Operator works on equipment while adjusting duties such as assembling, mixing, cleaning, testing, labeling, packaging, and more to fabricate and process products to meet high-quality specifications following prescribed procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs a variety of equipment operating and adjusting duties such as assembling, mixing, cleaning, bonding, inspecting, testing, labeling, kitting, packaging, etc. to fabricate and process products to meet high quality specifications following prescribed procedures
  • Working from verbal and written instructions may use a variety of equipment including scales, bonders, simple test equipment and other related supplies
  • May use measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specified tolerance disassembles precision assemblies and corrects malfunctions
  • Escalate product defects and/or concerns with leadership and participation in problem solving for corrective actions.
  • Works under general supervision, with some instruction given for routine work and detailed instructions for new types of work or special projects
  • Requires basic knowledge of how the team is organized and how own tasks relate to the others in the team/ unit. Impacts team performance through reliability and accuracy of own work
  • Responsible for setting up work area and machines for the manufacturing of product (bags)
  • Loading and operating of various manufacturing machinery
  • Identify and communicate any machine problems to the preventive maintenance team
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the machine areas.
  • Adheres to company Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) procedures.
  • Follow specific procedures for gowning to ensure cleanroom cleanliness and certification
  • Required to cross train and/or learn multiple production operations and adjust quickly to new tasks based on customer demand
  • Must be regular and punctual in attendance and adhere to all MilliporeSigma employee handbook policies
  • Reading, following, and understanding standard operating procedures
  • May be required to perform functions of role fully gowned in a clean room environment

  • Standing/reaching/bending/twisting
  • Regularly lifting up to 25 lbs


B shift Monday-Thursday 2:30PM-11:00PM

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in Life Science or Engineering discpline
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably machine and/or assembly operations
  • Capable of doing basic math
  • Follow all safety, operational requirements, and procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally to report production information
  • Collaborative team player
  • Ability to drive change and challenge the status quo in a respectful/professional manner
  • High intellectual horsepower with proven problem-solving ability and troubleshooting skills
  • Good decision maker
  • Ability to ensure safe work practices and behavior by conducting yourself professionally, keeping in mind your own safety and the safety of others
