Job Description

The Manufacturing Specialist, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/Production Planner is responsible for:
  • Management, execution, and optimization of materials management processes in coordination with Manufacturing and Supply Chain personnel. As the ERP expert within the Manufacturing department, the key responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring accuracy of production material inventory on the manufacturing floor through management of inventory returns, scrapping, expiry disposition, and product changeover.
  • Operational management of the ERP database through review, reconciliation, and closure of production work orders.
  • Improve the ERP system integrity through troubleshooting of inventory discrepancies, root cause identification, process optimization and training of manufacturing staff members who interface with the system.
  • Provide emergency on-call support for the resolution of production material inventory challenges ensuring the maintenance of 24/7 production capability.

Development and management of the Finite Schedule in coordination with Manufacturing and other supporting functions. Key responsibilities include:
  • Sequencing production and production support activities to improve operating efficiency and plant/resource utilization and reduce waste throughout.
  • Scheduling and coordination of equipment and facilities maintenance, instrument calibration, and capital projects in the context of the production demands.
  • Lead daily, weekly, and long-term scheduling meetings.
  • Improve the finite scheduling process through troubleshooting of scheduling discrepancies, root cause identification, process optimization and training of all finite schedule users.

Requirements:
  • BS with 3-5+ years working in Biotech or Pharma industry with related work experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Planning or Operations roles.
  • 1-3 years team or project experience.
  • Ability to facilitate and negotiate conflict resulting in outcomes that meets company / customer needs
  • Ability to lead team and drive results to meet targeted goals
  • Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a diverse portfolio
  • Has a clear understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain and inventory requirements
  • Ability to effectively communicate and partner with all depts. Manufacturing, Finance, Engineering, Quality, Operations and Business Development
  • Quality systems experience would be considered an advantage.
  • VirtECS software and SAP experience would be considered an advantage.


Schedule: This position operates on a standard weekday business schedule, but will require evening and weekend support on occasion to support business needs.

Salary Range: $49,274 - $85,800
Salary range provided per current averages and expectations. The salary and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
