A client is looking for a Manufacturing/Process Engineer in Port Huron, MI. Job description is below

Become an expert in spring manufacturing to evaluate and resolve both short- and long-term issues

Continuous Improvement and Optimization

o Review key metrics and determine ways to improve

o Design and conduct analysis of issues, leading problem-solving efforts

o Improve manufacturing productivity and facility capacity by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout

Support New Products and Processes

o Analyze capital expenditures and project designs to help find ways to reduce costs

o Responsible for manufacturing-related responsibilities for new product launches; working with Product and Advanced Engineering to ensure new designs and processes are feasible.

o Optimization of plant and cell layout for all new products and processes

Other projects as assigned

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors Degree in Engineering

Demonstrated hands-on experience with core manufacturing processes

Demonstrated implementation of Lean Manufacturing (5S, TPM, Workflow and Standardization)

Demonstrated formal problem solving (8D, Six Sigma)

Demonstrated application of APQP process

Experience with CAD

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Stamping/metal fabrication, PLC, spring manufacturing, automation, sensors, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical schematics

SolidWorks preferred
