Coburn Health and Wellness Center, a 170,000 square-foot multipurpose facility built in 2012. The Health and Wellness Center includes classrooms, a nursing triage clinic, a priority clinic, a fitness center, and a healing garden for personal reflection.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Assistant Director, Public Relations & Appointment Scheduling, the Marketing and Social Media Assistant supports the development and implementation of strategies and best practices for marketing, communication, and social media engagement. This position aids in researching industry trends and best practices to help shape the annual marketing calendar and communication plan. The Marketing and Social Media Assistant also plays a critical role in ensuring the timely execution of a social media calendar with clear deadlines for colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Content Development: Assist in creating engaging content for University Health Services and CHAW's social media platforms, ensuring alignment with the overall marketing strategy. Develop content for other digital communications as needed.
  • Event Support: Attend and support programs and events, capturing and curating content for social media to enhance online presence and community engagement.
  • Monitoring and Response: Monitor social media networks for comments, messages, and trending topics, ensuring prompt responses to maintain a positive reputation. Identify opportunities for future content and report negative feedback to the Assistant Director, Public Relations & Appointment Scheduling.
  • Marketing Support: Collaborate with the Assistant Director and other team members to implement marketing strategies across various channels, including email campaigns, digital advertising, and social media. Assist in executing marketing campaigns, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding.
  • Performance Evaluation: Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of digital marketing and communication tactics, including tracking performance metrics and recommending optimization strategies. Regularly report findings to the team and suggest improvements.
  • Special Projects: Provide support on special projects as assigned, contributing to the overall success of marketing and communication efforts.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.
  • Knowledge of current media technology and trends.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to plan, implement, and direct photography, graphics, and audio/visual associated operations.
  • Ability to utilize multimedia approaches to training.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
