Job Duties

The Marketing Assistant will assist the Marketing Director with various tasks including: developing and researching content for website, social media and public relations, assist with designing ads - digital or print, responding to marketing material requests and alerting Director to incoming requests from journalists and potential issues percolating in the press, monitoring media alerts for mentions of Gunston Hall, take photographs for social media or website posting, assist with retrieving data from Google Ads, Analytics, Business and other social media platforms.

Responsibilities:
•Social Media - assist Director in researching and preparation of social media content for Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
•Writing, editing and proofreading content - print or digital
•Retrieve data from various sources for dashboards and reports
•Designing graphics or advertisements when needed
•Retrieve data from various databases or sources and put into dashboard(s) or spreadsheets
•Photographing events when needed
•Respond to marketing material requests
•Monitor media alerts for mentions of Gunston Hall

Minimum Qualifications

•Some years of work experience related to marketing and social media
•Strong written and verbal skills
•Demonstrated proficiency with social media - Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and with a social media platform program like a Hootsuite
•Graphic Design skills including proficiency with Adobe PhotoShop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premier Pro or Rush
•Experience with Google Ads, Business and Analytics
•Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, Teams or Power Bi
•Photography, video and editing skills with phone or digital camera
•Experience writing, editing and proofreading
•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
