Bolingbrook Golf Club features an Arthur Hills and Steve Forrest designed golf course, an exceptional practice facility with a learning academy, state-of-the-art GPS-equipped golf carts, and a 76,000 sq. ft. clubhouse with a full-service restaurant and full banquet facilities. The Driving Range and Golf Academy at Bolingbrook Golf Club features 70 bent grass hitting stations, 12 target greens, a 10-acre short game area including 2 par 3 holes, lights for nighttime use and professional instruction from several experienced instructors. The Academy was recognized as a Top 50 Public Range as part of the 2020 Golf Range Association of America Awards. The club is the host of LIV Golf Chicago in September 2024.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing and communication strategies, plans, and programs primarily designed to increase awareness, drive revenue and promote a premium image of the facility across all amenities - golf, F&B and events. Responsibilities include the implementation of various strategies including direct marketing communications, advertising, special event promotions, public relations, media relations, and community relations. Responsibilities also include developing, producing, and managing all social, email, and in-house marketing efforts as well as benchmarking the results of these programs and reporting them to company leadership and ownership. This position will collaborate with internal teams to develop content to meet their goals and to ensure consistent messaging and branding.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with KemperSports regional support teams to create and implement the annual sales and marketing plan for the club
  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive revenue
  • Develop and implement a social media and email content calendar to increase rounds played, merchandise sales, special event sales and F&B sales
  • Grow and manage the club's email database and social media followers
  • Monitor and manage the facility's online reputation and reviews through timely response to customer reviews, comments, questions, etc. on social channels and review sites
  • Assist the sales team in group event lead generation strategies to drive sales in tournaments, outings, and special events
  • Write press releases and all other club's communication efforts
  • Create promotional materials and flyers for internal events and to promote the facility
  • Oversee the implementation of pay per click, paid social media and other digital advertising campaigns
  • Create and manage a video and photography library
  • Review and improve the club's website to ensure the content is relevant and informative and SEO efforts are optimal
  • Maintain knowledge of current and projected industry developments and happenings in the community
  • Monitor and analyze marketing metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns
  • Some nights, weekends and holidays may be required to capture content and interact with community members
  • Perform other duties as appropriate


Qualifications:
  • BA or BS degree in Marketing and/or Communications preferred
  • 2-3 years of applicable experience in marketing or communications, preferably in the sports or hospitality industry (golf is a plus)
  • Strong technical skills with email, website, social media and communications software and technology, including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite and Canva
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends.
  • Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations
  • Passion for golf and knowledge of the sport is highly desirable.
