The Marketing & Communications Specialist provides marketing and communications support to the Club. Oversees and coordinates hosting of member/public website including ensuring adoption of brand and marketing standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related
  • Microsoft Office (Publisher, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)
  • 3 years progressive experience in marketing, communications or sales support
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Creative with an eye for design
  • Strong organizational skills: time management, attention to detail, ability to self-start
  • Able to multi-task and produce high-quality results with strict deadlines
  • Team player: ability to work in cooperatively with other departments, committees and boards to attain club goals
  • Proficient on social media platforms


RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  • Oversee and coordinate hosting of member/public website including ensuring adoption of brand and marketing standards, staff training, implementation and that content is current and accurate.
  • Create content for social media marketing and weekly e-newsletter. Capture and edit photos and videos, draft video scripts and gather graphics. Track effectiveness of all posts and sends.
  • Prepare club marketing, advertising and event plans, including participation in the development of the marketing budget, event calendar, pricing and discounting, and other related assignments
  • Develop and implement promotional plans to promote club activities including member events in Food & Beverage, all sports and youth activities to increase revenue
  • Coordinate with stakeholders including national support, PGA TOUR Brand Creative, other operating department and other external vendors on the development, design, and coordination of membership and prospect communications such as e-mail communications, e-newsletter, and program campaigns, etc. with respective constituents
  • Oversee daily coordination, maintenance and regular updates of all member/client and prospect databases and files including Access; Clubessential, AS400, Foretees, Net Caddy, TPC Passport and Salesforce.com
  • Act as primary liaison with membership/client, company designees, track membership and process all changes as needed. Respond to all member/client inquiries in a timely manner and work the GM and other club departments to identify research and resolve issues.
  • Schedule, coordinate and track Membership Committee approvals, new Member Orientations and department managers follow up.
  • Support Director of Sales & Marketing/Director of Business Development with prospect inquiries and club tours on an as needed basis.
  • Prepare timely membership, trend, brand, sales and marketing activity reports as needed.
  • Review department expense budget (as required) to ensure adherence to budget standards and brand standards.
  • Provide general sales and administrative support to the Director of Sales & Marketing/Director of Business Development related to prospecting and enrollment as needed.
  • Special projects or other duties as assigned.
