ABOUT THE POSITION:

Our goal is to create an exceptional home for players and fans, cherished within our community and respected worldwide. The Tampa Bay Sun Football Club is in search of a dynamic, forward thinking and organized Marketing Coordinator to join the Marketing and Communications Team.

JOB SUMMARY:
  • Support the execution of grassroots, local and community-oriented marketing efforts.
  • Coordinate with local and regional businesses to increase Tampa Bay Sun FC presence at key events and locations.
  • Work closely to develop inter departmental relationships to utilize the Street Team assets to support key organizational goals.
  • Hire, schedule and coordinate members of the Street Team program.
  • Manage Street Team programming, budget and maintain records.
  • Work closely with internal partners to develop strategy to promote the games, athletes and initiatives within the overall marketing plan.
  • Support events and gameday execution plans from start to finish.
  • Grow the Tampa Bay Sun FC database via fan acquisition tactics.
  • Determine promotional giveaway items and see through the ordering and implementation process. Work in advance with Sponsorship team to identify giveaway item sponsors.
  • Maintain constant knowledge of industry news, current trends and integrated marketing strategies.
  • Serve as support and backup to update the clubs' websites on marketing specific materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Management Responsibilities
  • Employee is responsible for managing the Street Team and directing the work of its employees
  • Employee is also responsible for staffing the Street Team and the management of employee performance, including hiring appropriate staff, conducting regular performance reviews and, if necessary, terminating staff in conjunction with human resources.

Technical Knowledge:
  • Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook) and Windows is required
  • AP writing style

Experience & Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year College or University, preferred.
  • 3+ years grassroots marketing experience, soccer or professional sports experience, preferred, but not required.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Non-Remote, must be able to work in-office at the Headquarters location.
  • Must have own transportation, able to travel locally between community engagement events, training facility, and stadium.
  • Must be able to work non-traditional hours that include weekends, nights and holidays.
  • Must be able to work successfully in a fast-paced environment, start-up environment while managing multiple tasks at once.
  • Event management or planning experience.
  • Knowledge of the soccer supporter landscape and community.
  • Good time-management skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred.
