Overview

Working directly for the Manager of Marketing Operations, this position is responsible for executing marketing operations requests to ensure that CubeSmart store locations have the marketing materials and information they need to ensure brand and operational consistency.

This position requires the management of numerous time-sensitive processes including the execution of store level requests and local projects, database management, and responsive communications to store inquiries.

The Marketing Operations Support Specialist will act as liaison between Marketing and our store locations to ensure that facilities have the marketing materials they need by standard deadlines. As a Marketing subject matter expert, they are responsible for always knowing the status of projects, tracking project deliverables, obtaining cost estimates and timing, gathering status updates, communicating project risks, ensuring activities achieve launch dates, actively tracking campaign success and proactively providing feedback to Marketing Management. In partnership with our digital marketing team, this role will serve as a first contact resolution with our third-party management team and owner groups within various forms of communication including email, presentations, and phone calls.

The Marketing Operations Support Specialist will also help manage multiple Marketing systems including internal project managements tools, and vendor dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, manage, and report on marketing support service levels to ensure desired response times, stakeholder or requestor involvement, status awareness, and overall project satisfaction
  • Fields and manages local and custom requests for branded and non-branded store locations
  • Receive and review custom marketing projects via Marketing Workflow to ensure request completeness and proper Marketing teammate assignment based on request type
  • Provide digital marketing insights and store health check-ups on an ad-hoc basis to third-party management team and owner groups.
  • Interface on calls or via email with third-party management owners when there is a digital marketing inquiry to address performance and provide recommendations for additional support.
  • Support the Performance Media team with paid campaign execution for third party managed stores.
  • Maintain open and ongoing lines of communication and visibility to all stakeholders in the process ensuring the project meets the predefined goals and timelines
  • Provide feedback and input to evolve new processes and standards being implemented to align with business needs and improve process efficiency
  • Manage and execute strategic local campaign plans by identifying dependencies and contingencies, assessing risks versus milestones, and managing deadlines
  • Deliver in-store retail marketing efforts to ensure consistent brand representation and customer experience across stores
  • Manage assigned marketing message platforms and vendors to ensure timely and accurate in-store customer experiences
  • Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Positive team player
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, project management, or business
  • Must have a basic understanding of digital and traditional marketing tactics
  • Must have a basic understanding of project management tactics
  • Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and meet established deadlines
  • Self-starter possessing a high level of initiative, proven proactive thinker with the ability to resolve issues effectively and in a timely manner
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees, business partners and customers.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communications, and negotiation skills coupled with the ability to build networks, influence and motivate others toward accomplishing individual and group objectives
  • Must possess strong analytical, writing and successful program/project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to work well in a dynamic fast-paced environment
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic person passionate about managing projects with attention to highest level of detail while staying within budget limits and meeting deadlines.

Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Successful experience in project management working within a cross-functional team environment and managing cross-platform projects and programs
  • Experience working in project management software such as ASANA
  • Experience working in Adobe Creative Suite
