The Utah Jazz are looking for a motivated student or recent graduate to join our marketing team for the 2024-25 season. This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week from September 2024 to April 2025. This position will support the marketing Sr Project Manager and Jr Project Manager in coordinating daily and large-scale projects that support all areas of Smith Entertainment Group, including corporate partnerships, ticket sales, youth programs, community relations initiatives, brand campaigns and more. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in sports marketing and help you develop marketable job skills as you pursue a career in sports marketing and project management.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Daily project management
  • Meet or communicate regularly with key stakeholders regarding upcoming projects
  • Perform daily check-ins with members of creative production team
  • Create season-long timelines in support of institutional tentpole moments and annual campaigns
  • Outline daily or weekly tasks involved in each project and delegate to designers, editors, etc. according to skill sets
  • Respond to all production-related communications in a professional manner
  • Gather and distribute production materials on-time
  • Learn the necessary project management computer software and network directory systems
  • Seek to improve company-wide processes by assisting several different departments regularly
  • Assist with the creation of recaps for projects from the 2023-24 season.
  • Protect the reputation of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Currently studying or recently graduated in marketing, project management or related field
  • Available to work 20-25 hours a week including some nights and weekends
  • Previous marketing or project management experience (preferred)
  • Previous experience with project management software (preferred)
  • Positive attitude and team oriented
  • Willingness to learn
  • Excellent follow-through skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects at once
  • Outgoing, friendly personality

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
