About the Job

The Marketing Specialist is an essential role in our fast-paced Marketing team. Our specialist will be responsible for social media and email formatting and scheduling, campaign creation as well as execution in our digital platforms and marketing automation platform. The successful candidate for this role will work closely on demand generation with the Marketing team to drive efficient and accurate campaign execution.

We're seeking a Marketing Specialist to enhance our marketing efforts through expert management of our HubSpot automation system and meticulous execution of diverse marketing campaigns. Deep understanding of email campaign best practices is necessary. The Marketing Specialist will partner with our marketing team to monitor social media and email timing, metrics and continuously provide recommendations to drive highly targeted emails/posts to the appropriate audiences.

In this role, you'll ensure our marketing database is pristine, our campaigns are impactful, and our strategies are data-driven. You'll work closely with sales and marketing to align on objectives, ensuring seamless follow-up on leads generated from our campaigns. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end email campaign production and execution, including planning, workflow, list segmentation, set-up, testing, execution, reporting and optimization in HubSpot & Salesforce.com.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to create and deliver highly targeted social media campaigns, drip, and nurture email campaigns, retargeted and customer success communications.
  • Maintain database hygiene, perform data migrations, and create audience segments leveraging scalable playbooks.
  • Ensure email messages and social media posts are properly constructed to adhere to best practices, deliverability, mobile rendering, open rates, etc.
  • Conduct quality assurance on all versions of email campaigns and social media posts.
  • Define goals and success metrics for marketing campaigns, and report on results providing insights and recommendations to the marketing team.
  • Devise new email approaches to improve overall channel performance, including creative optimization, AB Split testing, developing automated and triggered campaigns.
  • Create scalable processes that ensure best practices in campaign setup, conversion, nurturing, and database management.
  • Troubleshooting of campaigns, email deliverability, lead flow and lead scoring.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy and communication regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or additional relevant experience
  • 2+ years of experience in campaign operations marketing

Preferred Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in a marketing or communications, with digital marketing specialization
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in a similar role, preferably in a life science company.
  • We are looking for a doer, someone who can handle multiple tasks at a time and can manage their time efficiently.
  • Proven project management and prioritization skills.
  • Experience with Smartsheet is a plus.
  • Experience with campaign setup, audience segmentation using "and/or" statement clauses, email deployment, HTML editing, delivery monitoring and reporting.
  • Direct experience and demonstrated proficiency with a marketing automation tool (HubSpot) a CRM (Salesforce), and a CMS (WordPress).
  • Knowledge of social media and web/email marketing best practices is required; advanced experience with HubSpot email, landing page template design and knowledge of HTML or other development languages, and social media solutions like StatSocial, StackAdapt, Talkwalker/Affinio a plus.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data to back up assumptions and assess the success of marketing programs.
  • Strong problem solving and issue-resolution skills.
  • Passionate about processes, automation and information systems.
  • Working understanding of direct marketing best practices, including social media and email best practices and industry standards, CAN-SPAM and data privacy laws, GDRP, list management and targeting/retargeting, knowledge of dynamic content and campaign automation.
  • Detail-oriented, self-reliant, and process-driven mindset.
  • Ability to work independently with excellent communication skills.
