UW Recreation has an opportunity for a temporary, hourly Massage Therapist to join our team.

UW Recreation is a department within the Division of Student Life. We provide safe, accessible, and dynamic recreation experiences to engage students in growth and wellbeing. UW Recreation serves over one million students, faculty, and staff each academic year through informal and formal recreation, including fitness and sports classes, intramural and club sports, outdoor education, mindfulness programs, and more.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Fitness & Wellness Manager, the Massage Therapist is responsible for providing Massage Therapy to UW Recreation patrons. Examples of duties include:

  • Developing and implementing specific massage plans that are in accordance with their training and client needs.

  • Providing excellent customer service.

  • Managing risk and responding to emergency situations.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • At least one year of Massage Therapy experience.

  • Active Massage Therapy License.

  • Earn and maintain certification in First Aid, CPR, & AED.

  • Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
