Your Role in Action:
  • Collaborate in the development and execution of individualized treatment plans, covering needs assessment, admit/discharge planning, and service authorization.
  • Keep a regular check on consumer's progress towards treatment goals to gauge the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Conduct clinical assessments to determine diagnostic eligibility and specific treatment needs for priority populations.
  • Deliver cognitive behavioral therapy sessions aimed at alleviating severe and persistent mental illness symptoms and enhancing daily living skills.
  • Offer crisis intervention support to prevent the need for more restrictive settings by reducing symptoms.
  • Educate on the nature of mental illness and the significance of medication using TIMA curricula, along with other designated trainings.
  • Provide skills training to address persistent mental illness and symptom-related problems that hinder the individual's functioning.
  • Assist consumers in coordinating access to necessary care and services, tailoring support to unique individual needs.
  • Review and authorize treatment/services based on medical necessity.
  • Ensure all provided services meet eligibility requirements and are authorized in line with agency and regulatory guidelines.


What qualifications you will need:
  • Possess a Master's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a social, behavioral, or human service field such as psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human development, gerontology, or educational psychology.
  • Hold one of the following license.
  • Maintain a valid Texas Driver's License and eligibility for coverage under the Agency's insurance policy.
  • Bring a minimum of 6 months of clinical experience in the mental health field.
  • Understand diagnostic criteria, clinical features, and guidelines to formulate accurate diagnoses.
  • Have knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy techniques focused on reducing or eliminating symptoms of severe and persistent mental illness (if applicable).
  • Keep your Intern licensure and supervision up-to-date with the relevant state licensing regulatory board.
  • Exhibit strong diagnostic skills, and an ability to integrate patient history, symptoms, and environmental factors into a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • Demonstrate superior communication skills, including exceptional listening and interpersonal skills, and the ability to create clear, concise, grammatically correct written documentation.
  • Thrive in a team environment, working collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Possess effective time management and organizational skills, and proficiency in standard word processing.
  • Be able to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
