We are looking for a Master Scheduler. As a Master Scheduler, you'll be part of a cross-functional team whose mission is to lead IonQ on its journey to build the world's best quantum computers to solve the world's most complex problems. This position is located in Bothell, WA, or College Park, MD, with about 20% travel.

The Master Scheduler is responsible for generating and managing Master Production Schedules (MPS) for all IonQ locations by developing and managing a Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning (SIOP) process. The Master Scheduler is responsible for managing and inputting demand into IonQ's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and working cross-functionally to identify and reduce critical path items. Key success factors include ensuring cross-functional IonQ-internal alignment on demand and supply, balancing supply and demand for customer demand for Systems and Capacity, publishing and refreshing lead times for Product and Capacity, generating inventory reports and forecasts for accounting, and managing Production Inventory value to targets.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish, implement, and manage a Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning (SIOP) process to ensure alignment of supply and demand for system sales demand and access capacity for IonQ-owned systems
  • Develop and harden business processes tangential to SIOP that are appropriate in scope and cost for a startup environment
  • Develop and maintain baseline and forecasted Master Production Schedules (MPS) for all IonQ locations
  • Identify and work cross-functionally to mitigate critical path constraints preventing on-time delivery to forecast
  • Publish and maintain lead times for builds to internal customers
  • Manage controlled demand entry into IonQ's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • Provide analysis and recommendations for level loading production and necessary resource balancing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate system-driven material, labor, and financial forecasts/reports
  • Forecast and manage production inventory values to meet budgets while achieving on-time delivery to forecast
  • Lead inventory budgeting and forecasting in a cross-functional environment
  • Develop and deliver executive-level presentations
  • Perform tactical planning duties as needed


You'd be a good fit with:
  • Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering
  • 7+ years of experience in Master Scheduling/Planning supporting a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of SIOP, Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
  • Comfortable working in a highly agile and ambiguous startup environment with immature business processes and tools
  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel

The approximate salary range for this position is $117,113 - $152,720.

The base pay component of the offer will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Posted figures are subject to change as new market data becomes available. The total compensation package may include other elements dependent on the position and level. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. Our HQ is located in College Park, Maryland which is only a 15-minute metro ride from Washington DC. We are actively building out our recently opened manufacturing and production facility in the Seattle, Washington area. Depending on the position, you may be required to be located near our offices in College Park, Seattle, or Toronto.
