Position Summary:
Performs general, routine maintenance and servicing operations throughout the hospital.
Reports to: Supervisor
FLSA: Non-exempt
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Installs, repairs, and maintains a wide range of plant and hospital equipment, machinery, and systems.

Assists journeymen and other specialty mechanics in installing, repairing, and maintaining specialized equipment and systems.

Operates plant backup systems as required.

Specifies and orders parts and supplies as needed to perform job responsibilities. Maintains and stocks appropriate inventories.

Performs preventative maintenance as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Associate's degree (Preferred)
*Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

3 years related experience
4 years related experience (Preferred)
