General Responsibilities

Responsible for transporting raw materials (rolls), work in process(WIP) and finished goods throughout the warehouse and production, load and unload rolls from transport trucks

• Preparing releases to ship
• Deliver received product to its appropriate destination
• Load and unload trucks in a safe efficient manner
• Work closely with sheeting to provide needed roll stock
• Fork truck driving skills are required.
• Palletize cases of various size and shape onto pallets within quality standards
• Produce barcodes for labeling proposes and keep accurate records.
• Provide a clean/safe working environment to themselves and employees in their work area.
• Keep department in specs within all 5S requirements
• Each person, regardless of role or position is responsible for Food Packaging Safety and Quality
• Execute job duties in a safe and efficient manner
• Report to management any issue or event that poses a risk to employee safety, the environment and facilities, or food packaging safety and quality.
• Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and instructions to the best of your ability
• Participate in continuous improvement activities, corrective actions, and training.
• Safe operation of motorized pallet jacks.
• Other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed:

• Ability to read general information or short instructions such as lists, notes, or labels
• Ability to write in order to accomplish such tasks as completing forms or communicating simple instructions
• Ability to perform basic mathematics such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
• Ability to carry out tasks which require a sequence of steps usually performed in a particular order
• Ability to complete tasks as assigned by others with occasional directions
• Ability to communicate to explain or interpret well-defined business issues or procedures following established patterns
