Description

SAIC is seeking a Material Handling Laborer for our Hanahan, SC location. This role is 100% on site.

Job Responsibilities:

• Preparing and arranging materials and products in bulk and non-bulk forms for distribution or storage
• Moving and loading or unloading equipment, materials, and products
• Driving forklifts and related material-handling machinery and equipment
• Performing physical tasks to transport or store materials
• Duties involve one or more of the following: manually loading or unloading freight cars, trucks, or other transporting devices; unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations; or transporting goods by hand truck, cart, or wheelbarrow.
• Reading and following written or verbal instructions
  

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to safely complete all of the physical demands of the job in a manufacturing/warehouse environment, including but not limited to the following:
  • Lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying up to 50 pounds, unassisted
  • Walking, bending, sitting, or standing for extended periods
  • Repeatedly lifting, handling, and moving material, tools, and equipment
  • Forklift experience preferred, not mandatory. Must be comfortable transporting heavy equipment

Clearance Requirement:

• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
