INVISTA is seeking a Material Capability Manager at our Victoria, Texas site.

Our Team

The Material Capability Manager is responsible for overseeing and improving the material management processes within the team and organization. This role involves leading a team to ensure that the management processes are sustainable to meet quality procedures, optimizing inventory levels, and collaborating with various departments to support production and operational efficiency. The Material Capability Manager will work to enhance material capability and performance, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Will Do

  • Team Development: Develop a team of materials professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment that meets the long-term vision of stable and reliable
  • Material Management: Develop and implement strategies for managing material inventory including usage, forecasting and recommended inventory strategies to ensure optimal stock and minimize risk regarding shortages or excess.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure specification tools are sustainable to meet production needs
  • Process Improvement: Implement best practices to systematically and sustainability manage material movement work processes
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with production, engineering, and raw material/sourcing teams to align material capabilities with production requirements and integrated business goals. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders address material-related issues and requirements.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in material management, supply chain, or a related role
  • Experience in Supervision
  • Understanding of material properties, inventory management, and supply chain processes


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience related to supply chain management or material handling
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced data analytics
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards
