Responsibilities

Coordinates and assists with the daily support operations to include inventory management and control. Provides supply management for OR/Specialty area through maintaining, monitoring and adjusting physician preference inventory areas, processing requisitions, tracking/expediting of orders, and managing new product requests. Assists with the research and implementation of opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce cost. Regularly maintains and updates order guides, organizes store rooms and updates labeling systems to ensure efficient ordering and inventory processes. Processes consignment and bill-only requisitions accurately and timely including contract verification. Effectively works with vendors on un-authorized supplies, documentation issues and/or revised pricing. Effectively works with purchasing and corporate for item add/activations and contract issues. Sees process completion. Follows processes and procedures for new item requests and opportunities at facility. Assists with the research to include contract compliance, benchmarking, clinical need, efficiencies and costs. Takes ownership of assignments; other duties as assigned or requested. Communicates and listens effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge. Works as a liaison for OR or procedural area staff, directors/managers, physicians, nurses and vendor reps to facilitate flow of information and follow through of tasks. Ability to deal with stressful situations.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Two (2) years of related experience of which one (1) year must have been in Materials Management or Clinical Area
  • Must be able to lift up to 50LBS.

Preferred Job Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education
