The Engineering Program Manager is responsible for providing program leadership to cross-organizational matrixed teams during new product development projects, sustaining of products in production, as well as directly contributing in a senior technical advisor capacity.

Primary Job Functions:

  • Lead the establishment of the material development program schedule with support and collaboration from the cross functional development team (material formulators, print process engineers, product management, product marketing, procurement, manufacturing, etc.).
  • Understand the overall material product portfolio and maintain various databases from which that portfolio is organized, through either the company's ERP system or other records.
  • Maintain and communicate the schedule status and outlook across the development project from ideation, product launch, and post-launch sustaining.
  • Coordinate development activities to ensure coordination, transparency, and remove barriers to team progress.
  • Stay closely assigned with the Materials Product Manager to understand and communicate development priorities and to create supporting plans.
  • Guide the team efficiently through Scrum events such as backlog creation and grooming, sprint planning, stand-up meetings, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Lead the product development team through 3D Systems' Product Development Process (PDP) and Phase Gate presentations.
  • Support the Product Manager in preparing for reviews with executives and stakeholders by gathering data, creating review presentations, and occasionally presenting program updates.




Qualifications

Qualifications - External Education and Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline is desired.
  • AGILE Scrum Master accreditation or Product Management Professional (PMP) is a nice-to-have.


Experience:

  • Must have a proven track record as a direct contributor to complex new product development projects.
  • Prior experience in managing electro-mechanical device development, software projects, or material development projects is strongly desired.
  • Previous experience leading teams as a Scrum Master or Program Manager is strongly desired.
