Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is searching for full-time faculty members at any rank. Appointees will contribute to all clinical aspects of the multidisciplinary Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) program, including the evaluation and management of high-risk pregnancy patients, inpatient and outpatient care, and a productive clinical portfolio. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent on qualifications.

We are an academic section with a high outpatient obstetrical volume, consultation service, and a large ultrasound unit with a fetal center, in addition to being a tertiary referral center for surrounding hospitals through our perinatal network. Other features of our program include strong preeclampsia research, a placenta center, obstetrical quality, an OB anesthesia program, as well as our exemplary Labor and Delivery unit.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) have completed an accredited fellowship in MFM or have equivalent experience, and 4) be Board certified or eligible in MFM.
