Entry level manufacturing position working as a Mechanical Assembler I at Aqua-Chem. Position requires a level of mechanical aptitude conducive to learning new skills with a desire to learn. Career advancement for individuals willing to learn and grow in a variety of areas around the facility.

Schedule: 1st Shift - Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm

Location: Onsite; Knoxville, TN

Pay Range: $17.00 - $19.00/hr (Dependent On Experience)

Essential Duties:

• Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform basic duties such as bending metal tubing with the use of rolling and bending machines
• Ability to run a cold and cutoff saw
• Perform basic assembly of metal materials as part of a larger assembly production
• Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space as well as around the manufacturing floor as requested
• Comprehend and follow ISO procedures to ensure compliance with standard
• Move materials and/or finished products to facilitate proper workflow
• Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time
• Utilize a variety of hand tools and power tools to assemble components
• Safety awareness with the willingness to perform duties safely while wearing proper PPE.
• Perform other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to work up to 12 hours standing and walking on cement surfaces and will be required to regularly bend, stretch, stoop, squat, climb ladders, and climb stairs
• Must be able to work in temperature ranges corresponding to the outside ambient temperatures
• Able to work overtime as required

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 1 year in a manufacturing environment, preferred but not required
