Mechanical Engineer

If you're a Mechanical Engineer looking for the next step in your career, we should talk! An engineering design client of Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team in Kansas City, MO. Youll help develop strategies and innovative solutions for Mechanical and Piping Engineering Designs in Simple Cycle, Combined Cycle Power, and Biomass Plants. Additionally, you'll occasionally provide detailed quantity estimates to support pricing during the proposal phase.
- Assist in mechanical design from concept to completion, addressing project needs and requirements.
- Prepare specifications, data sheets, RFQs, technical bid summaries, and purchase recommendations for mechanical equipment.
- Review vendor drawings and coordinate with suppliers, clients, and other engineering disciplines.
- Apply knowledge of mechanical concepts, practices, codes, and procedures in engineering services.
- Use experience to develop non-standard design solutions for complex projects.
- Conduct quality reviews of production drawings and project data to ensure accuracy in CAD software.
- Support field inspections, installations, measurements, and calculations for public and private clients.
- Build relationships with existing clients and contractors while developing new business opportunities.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
- EIT, open to pursuing their PE
- 5+ years of experience with power generation projects OR heavy industrial projects OR renewable biomass projects
