This position reports to

Product Engineering & Quality Manager

Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is: onsite You will be mainly accountable for: • • Update 3D models and drawings in CREO. • Maintain CAD files in the PLM tool. • Support ECO process to implement engineering changes. • Participate in testing and validation of prototypes and products • Assist in preparing technical documentation, reports, and presentations • Maintain accurate records of engineering data and project progress • Participate in root cause analysis and propose solutions to technical challenges

Qualifications for the role

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or mechatronics engineering, in the United States.
• Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
• Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
• Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
• Familiarity with mechanical engineering principles and practices
• Participate in testing and validation of prototypes and products
• Assist in preparing technical documentation, reports, and presentations
• Maintain accurate records of engineering data and project progress

This position is expected to pay between $20 - $34 per hour.
