Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join one of the world's leading technology companies. This will be part of the Reality Labs organization which brings people around the world through next generation Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality.

The main function of a mechanical engineer is to research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes. A typical mechanical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints.

Job Responsibilities:

* Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices.

* Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.

* Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendation to maintenance crew.

* Oversee installation, operation, maintenance and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.

* Implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering

GD&T experience and proficiency with tolerance analysis

5+ years industry experience in mechanical engineer role, with system or product ownership

CAD design skills in NX/Teamcenter

Precision mechanism design

Surfacing experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Understanding of consumer product lifecycle

Background with consumer electronics
