Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

Role Overview:

The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning, scheduling, and supervising the maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment. The role ensures safety, quality, and precision in all maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safe and effective completion of maintenance work by planning and supervising manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Estimate, plan, and schedule work, applying practical knowledge of tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance schedulers, and other supervisors to determine priorities and schedules.
• Handle deadlines, variable workloads, and be on call 24-hours as needed.
• Promote safety, efficiency, and discipline among subordinates, fostering a team-oriented environment.
• Inspect work quality, monitor training progress, and provide feedback to operations.
• Plan jobs, requisition parts, maintain work specifications, and update PMs and BOMs.
• Work closely with operations, maintenance personnel, and engineers daily.
• Schedule maintenance (both daily and shutdowns) and produce required reports.
• Direct workforce during off-shifts for equipment repairs, both on-site and via telephone.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrate leadership in safety, leading by example.
• High School diploma or equivalent required; Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years of mechanical experience in an industrial environment.
• Ability to adapt to change, embrace Lean concepts, and accept new challenges.
• Handle deadlines, variable workloads, and be on call as required.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in computer skills (Word, Excel, Windows); SAP experience is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Potential for promotion within the organization.
