Medical Assistant and Patient Services Associate positions in the Norristown area

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our physicians as they deliver comprehensive care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting with patient assessments, examinations, and treatments, as well as managing patient flow and performing various diagnostic procedures. Acting as a liaison between patients and physicians, you will ensure the highest levels of patient satisfaction while maintaining the necessary supplies for your area.

Meanwhile, as a Patient Services Associate, you will be at the forefront of our patient experience, ensuring a smooth and welcoming process from arrival to departure. Working primarily at the front desk of our outpatient practice, you will verify insurance, referrals, and patient demographic information with courtesy and professionalism. Your focus on prompt and courteous service will contribute to an efficient flow of patients to examination rooms, embodying our commitment to delivering the Jefferson Experience.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or equivalent required for either of the roles

Medical Assistant positions:

- Medical Assistant certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

- Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association preferred

Patient Services Associate positions:

- Customer service and/or patient facing healthcare experience preferred.

Conditions of Employment

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.

Conditions of Employment

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University. If you are not currently vaccinated you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.
