Our practice is located at 170 University Drive Amherst, MA 01002. As a Family Medicine office, we offer comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, from infants to adults.

Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to support the practice onsite, Monday through Friday. The operating hours of the practice are 8:00am to 5:00pm. There is an option to work a schedule of either 4, 10-hour shifts per week (7:30am-6pm) or 5, 8-hour shifts per week.
As true partners to our nurses and providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the collaborative team. The vision is for our Medical Assistants to work 1 to 1 with their assigned provider while having the ability to rotate occasionally.

Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office
- Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, point of care testing, immunizations, procedures, and treatments as directed)
- Performing clinically appropriate tasks related to patient panel management (phone calls, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.)
- Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas
- Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs.
Qualifications
Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CMA, AAMA, RMA, CNMA, or CCMA Medical Assistant certification required.
- Completion of a formal medical assistant training program preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support certification (BLS) from the American Heart Association required.
- Primary Care/Family Medicine experience preferred.
