This position is responsible for fully performing basic Medical Assistant duties.
Qualifications:
Experience:
1 year of MA experience preferred but not required
Education:
Completion of a Medical Assistant Program Required
Licenses/Certifications:
Certified Medical Assistant (preferred)
- Facilitates unit operations by managing patient flow.
- Responsible for all front desk duties specific to department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information and other patient documentation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
- Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
