Experienced Medical Assistants needed in Martinsville VA: $18-$21 an hour (40 hour work week)

Schedule:

Martinsville Mon/Weds/Fri 8:30am-5pm

Tues & Weds you will work at either Roanoke or Danville VA location (Mileage will be offered)

No weekends; paid weekly

start ASAP

Duties:
  • Labs
  • Phlebotomy & labeling specimens
  • Vitals & charting
  • Injections
  • Room patients
  • Scheduling patient appointments.
  • Check patients in/out, monitor patient flow.
  • Perform urine drug screens, takes vitals, assist with patient evaluations.
  • Call in patient medication as directed by Physician.
  • Input accurate patient information into electronic health record.
  • Responsible for cash collection and verification of benefits.
  • Review the Prescription Monitoring Database.
  • Provide education and resource information regarding medication.


CMA cert preferred

MA experience required

Medical front desk experience preferred

Lab & phlebotomy experience required
