We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will assist with various laboratory tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of lab activities and supporting healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Specimen Collection: Collect blood, urine, and other samples from patients following proper protocols.
Sample Preparation: Prepare specimens for testing, including labeling, processing, and storing samples.
Laboratory Testing: Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional.
Equipment Maintenance: Clean, sterilize, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
Data Entry: Accurately enter patient information and test results into the laboratory information system.
Quality Control: Assist in quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
Patient Interaction: Provide clear instructions to patients regarding specimen collection and testing procedures.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage laboratory supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
Compliance: Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines, including HIPAA and OSHA standards.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Have:
- HS Diploma or GED
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting
- Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
