Work schedule below is subject to change, must be flexible with work hours.

Schedule: Part-time, 24 hours a week.

3 days a week, either 8:00am to 4:30pm or 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Saturday, 8:00am to 12:00pm, will get either a half day off during the week or a full day off during the week if it works in the schedule.

The role you'll contribute:

Assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.

The value you'll bring to the team:
  • Assists with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by provider or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties.
  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
  • Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
  • Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
  • May document the provider's encounter with patients. Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider. Transcribes patient orders including, but not limited to, laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications.


Qualifications
EDUCATION AND REQUIRED:

High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • American Medical Certification Association for Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (AMCA)
  • American Medical Technologists (AMT),
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT),
  • National Healthcare Association (NHA)
  • National Association for Health Professionals for Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NAHP)
  • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) also accepted.
