Work Schedule:

Generally Monday through Friday, days. 8am-5pm.

Occasional requirements to work evenings or weekends, depending on the schedule of the assigned practice.

What You'll Do:

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at CMC , you will play a crucial role in supporting providers in the administration of patient care within assigned clinical areas. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of essential functions, including reviewing patient charts, obtaining vital signs, assisting in patient examinations, and performing general administrative duties. Under the direct supervision and clinical guidance of the Clinical Nurse Leader and/or Director of Operations, you will contribute to a patient-focused and efficient healthcare environment.

What you'll Bring:

• Graduation from an approved Medical Assistant program.

• Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) certification.

• One year of related work experience in a medical office.

• BLS certification (or willingness to obtain within 21 days from date of hire).

• Proficiency in ICD-9 and CPT coding and insurance procedures.

• Ability to deliver patient care tailored to diverse needs, demonstrating adaptability and proficiency in assessing treatment responses.

• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, to interact professionally with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.

• Capability to perform physical requirements such as bending, lifting, and using safety equipment as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program.

• Certification: CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) - Must have passed the certification exam for Medical Assistant.

• Experience: One year related work experience in a medical office.

• Licensure/Certification: BLS certified. If not BLS certified, must obtain BLS certification within 21 days from date of hire and maintain throughout employment.
