Schedule: Part Time

Shift : As needed, 2-3 days a month (Office hours are Monday - Friday, 7am to 4pm)

AdventHealth Celebration Health was designed as a Mediterranean resort-style facility to serve as a cornerstone of health in Disney's planned community of Celebration, Florida

The role you'll contribute:

The LPN/Medical Assistant functions under the supervision of the Clinic Supervisor providing clinical and clerical services including rooming patients, patient̢۪s initial assessment, assisting with exams and procedures and performing variety of lab tests. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Coordination of all tasks operationally and clinically within the clinic.

  • Monitors the clinic's schedules, organizes patient care by having the patient prepared and ready on time for the physician visit.
  • Daily code cart checks.
  • Admits patient to the clinic. Completes the patient's initial assessment. Obtains patient history including vital signs, reason for visit, and allergies. Completes appropriate documentation following nursing protocols.
  • Performs the following tests: hearing, vision, carotid ultrasound, h- pylori and venipuncture.
    Assists the physician with examination and procedures he/she performs and medication refills. Maintains open communication to ensure quality care.
  • Regularly audits ordered tests to ensure results are received and followed up on in a timely manner to ensure quality health care. Communicates results clearly with the physicians.
    Provides appropriate patient education at time of discharge. Coordinates follow-up appointments for patients with any specialty consult.
    Monitors appropriate level of nursing supplies and proper functioning and maintenance of instruments and equipment and reports needs to Clinic Supervisor.
    Works well within the organizational framework to achieve hospital/departmental goals and objectives


Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Vital signs
Specimen collection
Basic Life Support
Venipuncture

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
Familiar with Microsoft products such as Excel, Outlook, and Word
Organizational skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Graduate of Medical Assistant school

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Physician office experience

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Current active State of Florida MA license
