Medical Collector- Houston, TX

Job Responsibilities:
  • Complete Value Based Reimbursement processes timely and accurately according to industry best practices and GHA standards.
  • Analyze and properly resolve assigned claims in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with carriers, physician's offices, patients, and management to achieve resolution of issues and claims status.
  • Accurately verify insurance benefits related to claims.
  • Ensure insurance benefits are updated.
  • Process required adjustments according to department protocol.
  • Ensures payments are posted accurately.
  • Properly appeal claims as needed.
  • Obtain medical records and other documents from appropriate resources as needed for claims payment.

Pay and Hours:
  • Pay Rate: $20hr. - $23hr. (Pay is dependent on experience)
  • Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (Hybrid after training)

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of collections experience
  • Experience working off of Excel
  • Experience working with commercial payers
