Responsibilities

The Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) functions as a laboratory professional who assists other laboratory personnel in specimen collection, specimen receiving, specimen processing, laboratory testing, process improvement and quality initiatives

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Certification from nationally recognized agency as a phlebotomist upon hire.
• Certification from a nationally recognized agency as a medical lab assistant within 2 years of hire date.
• Experience working in the clinical setting.
