Medical Malpractice Attorney Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active bar membership in Texas
  • 1-5 years of experience in medical malpractice law
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high level of professionalism
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • A proactive, positive attitude with the ability to work well with a diverse team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in handling various case demands
  • A strong sense of discretion and judgment in managing confidential client information

Medical Malpractice Attorney Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and writing
  • Prepare pleadings, written discovery, motions, briefs, and memoranda
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on 10-20 cases, providing comprehensive legal support
  • Engage with clients, opposing counsel, and courts to advance case objectives
  • Participate in depositions and manage case-related communications
  • Work closely with a dedicated paralegal to ensure efficient case management
  • Navigate various personalities and work styles within the firm to achieve positive outcomes
