Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager II Supervisory (SSMII), Human Resources Office of the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), the Staff Services Manager I Supervisory (SSM I) is responsible for supervising and directing the work of assigned professional staff within the Medical Management Unit, which administers the department's Workers' Compensation (WC), Reasonable Accommodation (RA), Return to Work (RTW) and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) programs. The incumbent performs the more difficult and complex program activities in support of the WC, RA, RTW and FMLA programs and serves as a subject matter expert on these programs. proves all work products for consistency with established policies, procedures, and program goals; establishes unit priorities, goals, objectives, and work assignments; organizes staff resources, and develops implementation plans to effectively respond to emerging priorities.
