Qualifications

Conditional Requirement:

High-school Diploma

Following 1 year from the Ophthalmic Scribe's start date, the employee will be asked to complete the JCAHPO Ophthalmic Scribe Certification, if not already certified. Failure to successfully complete the course within 1 year of employment will result in termination. One additional attempt will be allowed. Only passing examinations will be compensated. Below are some training materials which can be used to study for the certification and familiarize yourself with the ophthalmic terminology, equipment, and procedure
