Medix is hiring a Medical Scribe for a direct hire position for one of our clients in Clermont, FL - a practice known for their excellence in vitreo-retinal diseases and surgery! Full time, varied hours, M-F. Pays $20-25/hr depending on experience and benefits.

Ophthalmic Tech Responsibilities:
  • Review patient charts and documents from referring physicians and effectively communicate with all practitioners related to the patient care plan
  • Clearly assess and document special requirements related to patient treatments
  • Ensure drug and diagnostic tools are available at each location based on patients appointment
  • Correctly summarize and document what the physician verbalizes during an examination
  • Accurately code ICD10 and CPT in patient charts

Ophthalmic Tech Qualifications:
  • Proficient typing skills
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a scribe
  • 1-2 years of Ophthalmology experience as a scribe or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant required
  • Travel Required
  • Must have flexible hours (early mornings/late evenings)
