A mental health counselor is a professional who provides emotional and psychological support to individuals, couples, families, and groups. They help clients manage their emotions, relationships, and behaviors to overcome challenges, improve mental health, and achieve their personal goals.

Key responsibilities of a mental health counselor include:

Conducting assessments and diagnostic evaluations to understand clients' mental health needs

The ideal candidate for this role will have a Master's degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field and a state-issued license to practice as a mental health counselor.
