Description
Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, assists in psychiatric and nursing care delivery, provides security for patients, employees and visitors. Serves as an integral resource in establishing a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients. Is attuned to the individual needs of patients and modifies approach to care based on patient, age and outcomes.

Description

Position Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- 1 year experience as a Psych Tech; or 1 year experience as a Security Officer in a Hospital setting; or any combination of education, experience and training that equates to mental health and/or security pool.
Certifications/Licenses:
- BLS required prior to first clinical shift (must be issued by the American Heart Association)
- CPI required within 90 days of hire
- SC Driver's License of application state driver's license required
- SC SLED License for private security required within 90 days of hire
