Position Information:
The Mental Health Tech I provides direct patient care and management of patients with medical and behavioral issues under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse by performing non-professional patient care services crisis intervention therapeutic interactions and behavior management. The Mental Health Tech I also provides non-direct patient care by providing continuous observation and surveillance of patients through closed circuit TV monitoring system. The Mental Health Tech I utilizes non-violent physical techniques to de-escalate patients that range in stature from 100 - 300 lbs.

Experience Requirements:
1 Year Clinical - Related Area Required - And 1 Year Clinical - Mental Health Preferred

Education Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred - And College Courses Nurse Aide Required

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Nurse Aide I Required - And Crisis Prevention Institute Certification Preferred

Hours of Work:
6:45am-7:15pm, 3 12 hour shifts/week

Weekend Requirements:
Every Other
