Job Duties

The Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) is looking for a Junior Solutions Engineer and Microsoft 365 subject-matter expert.

This position will provide technical guidance, and consulting for services offered by VITA's Business Platform Solutions team. Will serve as a subject matter expert in support of VITA's implementation of SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, and other Microsoft 365 (M365) products.

Position will provide SharePoint, Teams, and M365 development support by analyzing specifications, designing logic, writing code, customizing products, testing, debugging, and documenting software for VITA and VITA's Business Platform Solutions customers.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience administering M365 services, including SharePoint, Teams, and Microsoft Power Platform.

Experience solving business problems with Information Technology.

Experience leveraging Low Code Application Platforms (LCAP), such as Microsoft Power Platform, to develop applications to streamline processes and meet business requirements.

A conceptual understanding of cloud computing services (IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS).

Ability to demonstrate strong team interaction, time management, consulting, and communication (oral and written) skills, ability to multi-task with minimum supervision.

Additional Considerations

Considerable experience in developing and architecting enterprise solutions using Microsoft SharePoint, Teams and other M365 applications and tools.

Considerable experience solving business problems with Information Technology.

Considerable experience leveraging Low Code Application Platforms (LCAP), such as Microsoft Power Platform, to develop applications to streamline processes and meet business requirements.

Considerable experience using Service Now to create dashboards and manage incidents and tasks.

Experience working in state government.
