Microsoft Fabric Principal Data Solutions Engineer

Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team. As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the Data Team supporting a Microsoft Fabric Implementation. The ideal candidate will have Great Communication, Detail focused and problem solving skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Remote

Pay Range:$65-$90/hr

What's the Job?

• Technical Enablement : Delivering technical enablement activities to customer technical staff, helping them migrate their existing data platforms to Microsoft Fabric.
• Implementation Expertise : Applying your knowledge gained from prior Fabric implementations to demonstrate best practices and address customer needs.
• Architecture and Use Case Alignment : Building on completed mid-level architecture work and analyzed customer use cases to develop a target architecture in Fabric.
• Data Transformation : Overseeing the transformation of data marts and Power BI operational reporting, ensuring they align with the new Fabric architecture. This includes migrating legacy data to bronze, silver, and gold layers using Delta Lake and SQL data warehouses.
• Security and Governance : Establishing and adapting data security and governance frameworks to support the new implementation reference architecture.

What's Needed?

• 2 years Microsoft fabric prototype and implementation experience utilizing GA and Pre-GA functionalities.
• Hands-on principal data engineering experience with Azure Databricks and SQL data warehouse in Microsoft Azure
• Hands-on experience in data platform modernization projects and implementation.
• Deep understanding of components of data platforms (building data platforms, data platform management, data extraction, data security).
• Hands-on Pyspark and/or Scala data pipelines implementations in Azure.
