Job Description:

Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Microsoft Project Scheduler/Functional Analyst supporting the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Development Activity (USAMMDA) to assist our Government client in the transition of products from the science and technology community, through advanced development, and into sustainment of fielded medical products, devices, equipment, and systems used on the battlefield. Our work depends on a Microsoft Project Scheduler/ Functional Analyst joining our team and utilizing their Microsoft Project expertise to assist with project planning/portfolio management for the modernization, advanced development, testing, fielding and deployment phases of the acquisition life cycle for devices, equipment, and systems used on the battlefield.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • Work with Project/Product Managers, Logistics Managers, other Engineers, and End-Users to provide Life Cycle support for multiple medical and non-medical products, programs, and systems.
  • Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBSs) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMSs) in support of multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Working Groups.
  • Create and manage resource loaded project plans to enable accurate performance tracking cost and funding forecasting and anticipate staffing and logistics requirements.
  • Identify and track key program milestone events, contract deliverables, program reviews, integration activities, document contract changes and additions, and training requirements.
  • Assist with project metrics to support each project and program with an integrated view of risks to enable early risk recognition, mitigation, and resolution.
  • Assist project managers with shaping WBSs/IPSs to meet mission needs; including performance of Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) analysis to determine critical path and determine best case, worst case, and most probable schedule.
  • Assist Project Managers with maintaining current schedules including hands-on development of layered schedules and plans demonstrating how a program is progressing and will meet requirements and objectives.
  • Apply experience in project management, engineering management, DoD acquisition or other comparable experience as well as knowledge of DoD acquisition milestones, decision points, and staffing processes to develop WBSs and project plans using MS Project.
  • Participate in IPTs, working groups, and other meetings including preparing meeting agendas and minutes, managing participation, and tracking action items.
  • Prepare and maintain project management schedules, Gantt charts, and action item lists for assigned programs according to project management best practices and DoD guidelines to monitor program progress.
  • Assist with management of the lifecycle of medical products and assemblages (Sets, Kits, and Outfits (SKOs)), to include fielding and sustainment.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related technical/scientific discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience
  • Required Experience: 5+ years' work experience and at least 3 years of related project scheduling experience, utilizing Microsoft Project
  • Required Technical Skills: Experience planning, coordinating, and integrating within a schedule; Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Project experience; Experience, knowledge and the ability to execute using Microsoft Office Suite, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as Microsoft Outlook
  • Security Clearance Level: Must have a minimum of T3 suitability (Secret accepted)
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication, writing, organizational and project management skills; Be proactive and able to work independently to engage with the Product Managers; Ability to successfully communicate with personnel at various echelons using effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Preferred Skills: Knowledge of military/Army medical devices/systems and 2-3 years' experience in Federal contracting, government or military environment
  • Location: Hybrid -within driving distance of Ft. Detrick (2 days in the office)

The likely salary range for this position is $69,722 - $116,438. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
